15 January 2006
The 2006 British Professional Photography Awards will take place over the 28th, 29th and 30th October at Hilton National hotel in Coventry, with the main Awards Dinner taking place on the evening of the Sunday 29th.
Winners will be announced in the 40 categories that make up the Awards and the evening will culminate in the presentations to the British Professional Photographer of the Year which was won last year by Jackie King, from Hampshire and the Overseas Professional Photographer of the Year which, in 2005, went to Mark Russell-Hill from Dublin.
The Awards, now in their third year, are a joint initiative between the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Master Photographers Association (MPA). Entry is open to qualified members of both organisations.
In addition to the main Awards event, the weekend will feature seminars, the AGMs of both companies on the Monday and a 'Stars In Your Eyes' cabaret on the Saturday evening. The full programme will be confirmed shortly.
Those requiring information on membership of either association, or the Awards should call MPA on 0845 130 970 or BIPP on 01920 464 011.
