Before joining Lucidiom, Dr. van de Sand spent seven years with Agfa-Gevaert, holding various management functions in the lab equipment business, including Manager of Applied Technology and Manager of Research and Development.
Prior to Agfa, Dr. van de Sand worked in the Imaging Department at Du Pont de Nemours & Co. as a scientist and manager for 18 years.Some of his accomplishments at Du Pont include developing new silver-halide-based films, developing and commercializing ink jet paper for poster applications, doubling coating capacity with a new coating process, and redesigning equipment to maximize efficiency and capacity.

Dr. van de Sand is based in Germany and holds a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Heidelberg.
