After a trouble free first season of operation Dunns Imaging Group have decided to bring forward the launch of their Flex schools processing service to Focus on Imaging.
"We achieved very reliable and quick turnaround of all our customer's work with an absolute minimum of processing errors during its first term," said managing director Alan Dunn, "We now feel confident offering Flex to a wider customer base knowing that we can bring some real benefits to the schools photographer.
Flex software is written entirely in-house which gives us the ability to respond to specific client requests very quickly - even at peak processing times. We have integrated Fuji's imaging intelligence software into the production process to achieve the best prints from customer's files and to keep remakes to a minimum. This helps with both turn around times and accuracy of working.
The service is vertically integrated which means we do everything from image file upload, through proof card preparation - or proof on the day, an unlimited range of pack options as well as on-line ordering and payment. Importantly with on-line ordering Flex integrates with the photographer's own web pages. So the parent deals with the school photographer, not with Flex. The photographer has remote access and control over pack content, pricing etc. of on-line products.
Flex comes with excellent on-line features. Parents have to give approval before they can view images. Right click image download is blocked to prevent illegal copying, there is a magnify feature activated by hovering over an image, images can be viewed in colour and black and white and flex has its own comprehensive payment gateway.
A very valuable feature is the ability for a photographer to give a school temporary access to a job. This is a real time saver when it comes to resolving queries around particular images because the photographer and school can be viewing and discussing the same images without having the expense of contact sheets or time overhead of revisiting the school.
The schools market is changing and it is important for our clients to be able to offer the latest processing innovations to their schools.
