Epson has released the Perfection V600 Photo scanner. With the ability to scan, restore and archive an extensive range of films and prints at fast speeds, the V600 has low power consumption for maximum efficiency and no warm-up time for instant scanning.
With 6400dpi optical resolution and 3.4DMAX optical density for film scanning, the Epson Perfection V600 Photo creates high-quality images, meeting the photo and film reproduction needs of photographers.
The Epson Perfection V600 Photo features a built-in Transparency Unit (TPU) that supports full panoramic medium format film. Users have the ability to create digital archives from photos, 35mm filmstrips, mounted slides and medium format full panoramic film (6x22cm), making it ideal for preserving important memories and images, as well as photographic reproduction for printing
ENERGY STARcompliant, Epson's innovative ReadyScan LED technology minimises power consumption. With the added benefit of no warm-up time, scanning can start as soon as the power is turned on and the scanning of reflective targets is 1.5 times faster than previous models.
Epson Scan software has been upgraded and now supports Windows 7 and Snow Leopard, has a re-sizeable preview window, user defined preference naming and intelligent auto exposure for film scanning. Epson Scan is designed to make scanning easy with its Automatic and Home mode, whilst the needs of the advanced user are addressed with the Professional mode.
Additional software includes Epson Event Manager v2.3 for Scan Button management, AdobePhotoShopElements 7[1] and ABBYYFineReader6 Sprint Plus[2]. The stylish new design complements Epson's range of consumer products.
