Photobook software specialist, TAOPIX has announced the release of Version 2.5 of its end-to-end photobook software solution. The new version, which will also be available as a free upgrade for existing customers in active support, introduces a large number of new applications.
The company is also launching a new starter kit (available from December 2009) which will provide all customers with a comprehensive range of templates and designs, enabling them to immediately offer their customers one of the broadest range of photobook template options in the market.
James Gray, CEO, TAOPIX says: "Version 2.5 of our TAOPIXsoftware incorporates a whole host of new features and functionality that greatly enhances what was already a market-leading product. Importantly, the majority of these enhancements have been built into the software following feedback from customers around the world. New TAOPIXfeatures include:
Four Wizard Genie options to suit the level of experience and interaction required - from very simple steps to help build a product for the first time to detailed assistance for those who wish to use all the software's capabilities.
An improved calendar module to make building calendars very simple for the end user and the creation of calendar products straightforward for the administrator.
An interactive assistant to provide quick start help for customers who are using the software for the first time.
A proof-book function which automatically generates a sample photobook with all pictures 'auto-flowed' into a viewable format - perfect for wedding picture selection.
A 'Frames' function which provides full frame support for images, enabling the user to place images in a variety of digital frame templates including wood and aluminium inside the software.
100s of 'behind the scenes' enhancements including multi-lingual support, vignette function and branding support and improved digital asset management functions.
Multilingual support in 17 languages.
Continues Gray: "What has become clear is that as the install base of our TAOPIXphotobook solution grows so do the characteristics of the customers. Some of our new customers, for example, do not have the in-house resources to customise and extend their template options to give their customers a wider variety to choose from."
For that reason, Gray says the company is launching its new TAOPIXStarter Kit which is available to new and existing customers. The kit includes dozens of book, calendar, gift and website templates; optional templates for TAOPIXbranding as well as in excess of 500 backgrounds, frames, scrapbook items and masks. All of these templates and design options will be constantly added to as new versions of the software are released, so customers can take advantage of new design concepts on an ongoing basis - for free.
