Beyond 2010 is a regional programme to assist creative media companies in the East of England gain the skills they need to move their business forward.

The scheme is open to freelancers, sole traders and companies with up to 249 employees, who are based in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk or Suffolk.

The Beyond 2010 programmean reimburse up to 70% of the training costs of short courses that address higher level skills. The maximum grant is £5000 and the minimum is £100.

Training can be on any subject, but must be deemed to be equivalent to level 3 or above. The training doesn't have to be linked to a formal qualification, but must be completed by Jan 2011.

The programme is funded by the European Social Fund and East of England Development Agency and managed by Essex County Council.

The specialist advisor for the Creative Media sector is Anne Williamson, who will discuss your trainingeeds with you and advise if you or your business is eligible for a grant.nne will also help you seek out a course if you don't know of one already, and help with the application process.
