Lucidiom Inc., creator of the original Automated Photo Machine (APM), won three awards at Digital Imaging Marketing Association's Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) Show in Orlando.
With a record turn out of 27 photo kiosks in the contest, nine winners were named winners from four different categories and two different panels of judges: self-service experts and consumers. The expert panel of judges evaluated the kiosk systems using criteria such as customization, flexibility of options, reporting and other benefits important to retailers.
Lucidiom's APM 1100 was named the Expert's Choice in the Print-to-Print/DSC Print Category and the Creative Kiosk Category.
Kiosk systems also were judged by a panel of consumers evaluating features such as user friendliness, ergonomics, feature set, quality of print, overall experience and more. Lucidiom's APM 1100 also tied for the Consumer's Choice Award in the Creative Kiosk Category. "We're thrilled to win these awards, as further validation about how intuitive and feature-rich our kiosks and software are designed," said Lucidiom President Steve Giordano, Jr. his was a terrific way to launch our presence at PMA. Booth traffic has been great these past two days as attendees flock to see our new digital imaging solutions for retailers."
Featuring a 17-inch touch-screen, APM 1100 gives consumers a bigger view of their digital photos. Other benefits include an adjustable screen for viewing photos at any angle, an optional credit card/magnetic stripe reader so customers can pay for their photos right at the kiosk, and two USB ports for connecting directly to thumbdrives. The Luci version of the APM 1100 is tailored for scrapbookers, with features such as 12x12 photo printing, unique mats and template layouts. With Luci, retail customers can make quick and beautiful scrapbook pages right in the store.
