2 March 2006
From April 1st, Swains' own brand of frames and albums will experience an increase in price; so independent retailers are urged to replenish stocks now.
Memorie frames and albums had a makeover at the end of last year, accompanied by a new-look catalogue. Although the increase is between five and ten per cent, retailers should place orders now to make the most from current prices.
Danny Williams, marketing director at Swains, comments: 'This price rise is due to increased costs from our manufacturers, and although we always try our hardest to keep prices as low as possible for the independents, such things as inflation do mean we have to make slight increases on some products occasionally. Memorie still remains a popular brand with retailers and customers, and will continue to offer great value for money and high profit margins for retailers.
'We are encouraging retailers to identify best-selling lines and think about the products that will be popular over the summer such as wedding albums and albums for holiday photographs, and to order extra quantities of these before April 1st 2006 to benefit from maximum profit in the til.'
