Jessops is to sell camera phones on pay monthly contracts for the first time. The company is to offer a selection of handsets of between one and two megapixel resolution from leading manufacturers Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Samsung and across key networks Vodafone, Orange, 02, 3 and T-Mobile.
Jessops has been offering customers the opportunity to buy pay as you go handsets through its store network and web site for over a year.
The company also offers camera phone users the opportunity to print their images through the in-store Digital Photo Maker service, available in all of its 270-plus stores nationwide.
Jessops will trial the new product lines in 40 stores as well as through on-line and mail order channels starting in September, and plan to roll out the range throughout its full store network later in 2005.
The company will partner Dextra Solutions, Europe's largest distributor of mobile accessories and other mobile products, to offer the new range.
