Upgrade to PrintFIX PRO

Many of you will have previously purchased the original PrintFIX and we can now confirm that an upgrade path is available for you to trade-up to the new PrintFIX PRO and receive a £100/50 discount. New Vendor - gti - Graphic Technology Inc.
This month we are pleased to announce the addition of a range of affordable viewing boxes from gti (Graphic Technology Inc.)
Light (or viewing) boxes provide you with a constant light source to view images under,allowing you to make precise judgements about colour. The new gti range of Professional Desktop Viewers (PDV's) are aimed specifically at the photographic and design markets and are compact enough to fit on your desk alongside your display. These new viewing boxes, along with the extensive range from Just Normlicht, mean we now have a complete offering to address all our customers' requirements and budgets.
X-Rite and GretagMacbeth Merger - an update
In February we learnt that the two biggest names in the world of colour management, X-Rite and GretagMacbeth were to combine forces and merge. The actual arrangement was the proposed acquisition of GretagMacbeth by X-Rite Inc., however both companies are approaching the process in the spirit of a merger. In a surprise move last month, DataColor - the parent company of ColorVision - made it clear they also intended to make a bid to acquire GretagMacbeth, However, during IPEX, we discovered that Datacolor had withdrawn their approach - leaving the original X-Rite/Gretag merger to continue.
This frenzied corporate activity has obviously delayed the process, however our sources tell us that the merger is still expected to go through with an expected completion date in the middle of summer - all this is of course subject to shareholder approval. In the meantime both companies continue to operate as separate entities and at Colour Confidence we still believe that this is in the long-term good news for our customers and the industry - even if there is a period of uncertainty over the short-term.
Product Availability
We have been promised by Pantone that stocks of the long-awaited Color Cue 2 will be available by the first week in June. If you have placed an order for the Color Cue 2 we will call you when stocks arrive asking you to re-confirm your order. Any new orders placed today should ship by the end of June. We keep a large stock of Pantone publications and can advise you that the new Pantone Metallic Chips and Pantone Pastel Chips are now available, as well as the Pantone Textile system.
The new Spyder2express, Spyder2 Suite and Spyder2 PRO from ColorVison are all now in stock. However, if you are on the look out for a bargain, we still have stocks of the ColorPlus, Spyder2 Plus and Spyder2 PRO Studio in our clearance items section at very low prices. Vincent Olivers tutorial-based DVD, "A Guide to Digital Photography", described by Amateur Photographer magazine as "an excellent learning resource", is in stock at the revised price of £12.76/9.00 ex VAT.
Print Profiler Upgrade
Colour Confidence's RGB and CMYK printer profiling software, Print Profiler has just been upgraded to version 2.2. The latest version now supports the GretagMacbeth iO reading table and for a limited period customers can purchase Print Profiler with an Eye-One Pro and iO table for just £1995/975. Existing users can upgrade by clicking here.
Colour Confidence continues to expand
The past three months has seen record-breaking results for our business and we would like to thank you all for supporting us. In order to maintain our position as the number one European supplier of colour management products, we have recently expanded our distribution facility to include a new hub operating out of Girona in Spain for our European shipments as well as taking additional storage and order processing space at our Birmingham, UK head office.
