Durst now offers the widest portfolio of UV inkjet printers. At Fespa Digital not only is Durst presenting another brand new product with the Rho 600 Pictor but also demonstrating how its product range has expanded the digital print market further than just retail and outdoor advertising applications

During the last twelve months Durst has introduced several new inkjet products onto the market. At the heart of them all is the Durst developed QuadroArray print head technology. This revolutionary print head configuration allows for a greater number of print head nozzles in the same area, which results in the finest quality print whilst maintaining the highest output speed.

The first two products to benefit from this new technology are the Rho 600 flatbed inkjet printer and the Rhopac Packaging printer, the world's first UV inkjet specifically designed for the corrugated packaging industry. Later in the year Durst announced the arrival of the new Rho 350R ultra-wide (3.5m) roll-to-roll inkjet printer. In addition to the packaging industry, Durst has been exploring other avenues for its inkjet technology and recently announced the world's first direct digital ceramic decoration system called the Gamma 60. This brand new system is designed to decorate ceramic wall and floor tiles and is based on pigmented ink technology.

Richard Piock, CEO of the Durst Group, said: "With the introduction of the Rho 600 Pictor we have effectively extended the appeal of our machines to a wider audience, which means we now have the most comprehensive range of inkjet machines across a wider market than any other machine manufacturer. This, coupled with the ability to "grow" our machines with a business, by upgrading performance and printing features such as white ink and varnish, ensures that we are able to provide a long term business partnership with our customers."
