The deadline for submissions to the Living Exposure charity auction and draw has now come to a close and the final images have been selected.

The deadline for submissions to the Living Exposure charity auction and draw has now come to a close and the final images have been selected.

The charity event hopes to raise tens of thousands of pounds for 'Help the Hospices', whilst also recognising true 'photographic excellence' from within the industry.

The event is sponsored by Towergate Camerasure and has the support of the big four photographic associations: Association of Photographers, British Institute of Professional Photographers, Master Photographers Association and the Royal Photographic Society.

The organisers have been delighted with the response to the call for entries and Roy Meiklejon, Sales and Marketing Director for Towergate Camerasure, said: "Yet again the industry has demonstrated its kindness in the support of a good cause and we hope this year will be an even greater success, both for the charity and for the profile of photography."

The event, to be held at Bonhams, Bond Street, London, on 27th July 2006 will feature an exhibition of the final 200 images selected, with an additional 30 images chosen for silent auction.

Llewellyn Robins, chairman of the selection committee, made this commented: "There was a really varied selection of images to choose from. We had great difficulty selecting the final 30 for silent auction. Digital photography has allowed photographers to escape their conventional boundaries. However, a surprisingly large amount of pictures were shot on film."

Up to 10 Master Works will also be auctioned during the evening, adding to the overall totals raised. Each person attending the auction will be provided with a catalogue, listing photographers contact details and image descriptions. Participating photographers will be invited to a private viewing at Bonhams on 26th July.

The selected images are available for viewing, on-line at www.livingexposure.co.uk

There are a very limited number of tickets available priced at £130. Each main ticket holder will enter a draw that guarantees one of the photographs for the holder - which one is determined by the luck of the draw!

Each main ticket holder can apply for one guest ticket for only £35 subject to availability (guests are not eligible for the special draw).
