Extending further its infrastructure for digital imaging and IT support and service, Oxford-based ACL has formed a partnership with Photologic to service photographic imaging equipment throughout the Republic of Ireland. In addition to distributing a range of digital imaging products, Photologic is the official distributor for all Kodak professional digital imaging equipment in Ireland, a position it has held for the past eight years. It is also the national representative for Kodak's health imaging technology.
The commercial relationship between Photologic and ACL was, according to Photologic managing director John Gallagher, born out of a need "to service quickly and at the right price. ACL can perform this."
Under the new arrangement, ACL effectively becomes the service arm for Photologic's digital imaging business. ACL now maintains all the minilabs and prolab systems which Photologic supplies, including printer processors, scanners and large format printers. All service calls go direct to ACL which employs a team of full-time, accredited engineers with 24-hour on-call availability, all backed by strategically placed supply depots and service centres to keep equipment downtime to an absolute minimum.
