The Spring merit winners of the Fujifilm Envisage Photography Awards 2006 have been announced.
The awards scheme, launched in February 2006, has been designed to provide members with another valuable marketing tool. Members have the opportunity to win a cash prize of £1,000 for the consumer who is the subject of the image.
Entry to the awards takes place online, with photographers submitting their images via the website - www.fujifilmenvisage.co.uk The images, which can be shot on either film or digital, are then judged and merits are awarded accordingly. Photographers are invited to submit a print for final judging, where the overall 'Envisage Photographer of the Year' will be announced in January 2007.
The Spring merit winners, of which twenty-three have been awarded, include: Julian Barton (1), Klarke Caplin (1), Ian Cartwright (3), Christianne Cherry (1), Barrie Downie (2), Stefan Lubomirski de Vaux (1), Sarah Loveland (1), Maria Murray (5), Philip Nash (1), Tushar Shah (1), Gary Walsh (2), Clare Louise Watson (4).
Jerry Deeney of Fujifilm Professional was keen to pay tribute to the quality of the entrants: "Fujifilm is committed to supporting the photographic industry and we are delighted to be able to offer this benefit to Envisage members. We have received some stunning images, and the merit winning images represent an excellent standard of photographic expertise. Hopefully the winning images will provide inspiration to all within the initiative."
Fujifilm Envisage is open to all UK based professional photographers, whether or not they use Fujifilm products, and is designed to help them grow their businesses.
