HAZRED, the three year EU-funded project to help small businesses prevent and reduce hazardous waste, is stepping up a gear as the drive to recruit 120 businesses gathers pace.
Twenty of those businesses will be from the photographic processing sector and will benefit from free, ongoing support and guidance from a specialist adviser. The main draw will be the opportunity to save money through the establishment of a strong and systematic programme of waste prevention.
The programme is available to all sizes of photographic laboratory. Now is your chance to GO GREEN, with advice for free.
The project team, in collaboration with the Professional Photographic Laboratories Association, has developed a hazardous waste reduction plan detailing the cost saving techniques for cutting hazardous waste output.
The HAZRED project team would be keen to hear from businesses who think they may benefit from taking part in HAZRED.
