On Tuesday 18th October, H.R.H. The Countess of Wessex opened the new headquarters of Leach Colour, at Bradley Business Park, Huddersfield.
During her one and a half hour visit, the Countess toured the Company's new £2million, purpose built premises and had lunch with directors, staff and customers, before unveiling a plaque to commemorate her visit.
Leach MD, Richard Leach said 'The Countess was genuinely interested in all she saw and heard during her visit and I was proud of the enthusiasm and professionalism displayed by all our staff during her tour of the facility. These qualities were also commented upon by Her Royal Highness The Countess during a short speech following the unveiling ceremony.'
He went on 'These new purpose built premises are the second to be built by the company in its 114 year history. The first built in 1897 cost £800 pounds - a sum which would not have paid for the bike sheds at the new site'
The Countess followed this by saying she could not guarantee to be available if a similar time elapsed before new premises are again required.
Founded in 1891 as the first professional photographic laboratory, Leach Colour has gone on to become one of the country's leading supplier of large format digital graphics to the retail and heritage sectors.
