Colour Confidence are pleased to announce the availability of a selection of new monitors, all of which are included in the newly launched international Monitor Showroom. The Eizo CG221, NEC 1990 and 2090 and the LaCie 319, 320 and 321 GEN II monitors are all recent releases and are now shipping from the Monitor Showroom on www.colourconfidence.com
The Monitor Showroom was launched in October 2005 in response to requests from customers to provide advice on the colour accuracy of monitors. At that time Colour Confidence were not in the position to offer these monitors across Europe, however with improved warehousing and supplier relationships, they are now able to supply their full range across all of mainland Europe. By providing unbiased recommendations based on the quality of the monitor rather than any particular supplier preference the Monitor Showroom gives all users the opportunity to choose the display that is correct for their individual needs.
"Colour Confidence is a truly European operation and we are keen to ensure that all of our customers, wherever they are based, can benefit from our independent advice on monitors as well as colour management equipment." Commented Geoffrey Clements, Managing Director, Colour Confidence. "The new monitors we are now supplying continue to push the boundaries of LCD technology, and the increased clarity of image and colour uniformity has impressed us."
New Monitors
The Eizo CG221 is the replacement for the acclaimed CG220. While retaining the ability to reproduce the Adobe RGB colour space, the new monitor has been improved to produce uniform colour and brightness from corner to corner. With the bundled ColorNavigator software and a 12-bit look-up table the CG221 delivers accurate and reliable calibration so soft proofing can be achieved with confidence. The CG221 has been awarded a five plus star rating by Colour Confidence's team of experts and as with all Eizo screens, it comes with a five year warranty.
Also available from Eizo is the new 'CE' range of monitors. These monitors come in a Widescreen format and also utilise the popular ColorNavigator calibration software.
LaCie have introduced their second generation of 300 series monitors. The new displays have improved colour fidelity and sharpness, as well as enhanced colour uniformity across the screen. Additionally, there are improvements within the Blue-Eye Pro software that is included with the monitor. The software is easy-to-use, has an increased number of advanced options and evaluation tools and now supports the full range of monitor calibration devices including the Eye-One Display2, Optix XR and the Spyder2.
NEC has also updated their range recently with the 1990, 2090 and 2190. These monitors have proved extremely popular and are significant improvements on the previous versions. Also from NEC, the Spectraview reference 21 has the ability to display a wider colour gamut than Adobe RGB and comes bundled with the SpectraView profiler software.
All the displays listed on the Colour Confidence webstore are now available across mainland Europe with their full manufacturer's warranty and for a limited period anyone purchasing a monitor from the website can add a monitor calibrator for just 79/€119.
