Delkin Devices, Inc., makers of high quality digital photography products and accessories announced its international expansion with the creation of Delkin Europe, Ltd. Located in Birmingham England, Delkin Europe will be a branch office of Delkin's U.S corporate headquarters located in San Diego, California.
Martin J. Wood, Delkin's President and CEO explained, 'igital Camera sales have thrived in the international market.This is a great opportunity for us to fully expand into the international market, and further grow our European market share. Delkin has done business in the UK for over 20 years mainly through distributors. With strong demand, and a customer base that needed support, Delkin found sales and warehouse space in Birmingham, England. This office will be the first wholly owned subsidiary for Delkin in Europe. Delkin is planning to expand this location in 2007 to support the company's long-term commitment to its international customers.
The UK office will expand Delkin's sales in the UK and other parts of Europe. All other business functions remain based at the corporate headquarters in San Diego, California. David Gleeson has joined Delkin Europe as Director of Sales to guide the activities of the European operations. David has over 26 years of experience in the Photographic trade and worked for Sangers, among the largest photo wholesalers in the United Kingdom. He also played a key role in launching a number of brands into the UK including Delkin, Tamrac, Braun, Cosina and Polaroid Digital Cameras.
