Olympus secures two DIWA Awards

Olympus has received two Gold Awards from the Digital Imaging Websites Association (DIWA). The prestigious awards were bestowed on both the Four Thirds System-based E-330 with Live Preview capability and the shock and waterproof mju 720 SW.

DIWA is a website association that seeks out the best in imaging products and encompasses a fast-growing pool of independent web-based specialist publications from across Europe and Canada.

The DIWA jury commended the E-330 for its revolutionary Live Preview technology, which '" for the very first time in a digital SLR '" lets continuous live views be seen directly on the camera's LCD. Furthermore, the Olympus-exclusive Supersonic Wave Filter enabling dust-free photography was cited as reason for this award, along with many other sophisticated features and functions.

Meanwhile, the compact [mju:] 720 SW was praised for its tough construction which makes it waterproof to depths of 3m and protected against falls of up to 1.5m '" all while maintaining high image quality.

The DIWA experts noted that: 'oth the E-330 and the [mju:] 720 SW are brilliant examples of innovative engineering with the aim of meeting public demands. The unanimous verdict from the DIWA organisation was a Gold Award to each of these excellent cameras from Olympus.'
