During February & March 2007, Minox are promoting Minox Porro prism binoculars (8x44 BP & 10x44 BP).
A Porro prism design often outperforms an equivalent roof prism in terms of image brightness, three-dimensional viewing, depth of field and clarity.
The 8x44 and 10x44 Minox BP have an exceptional 94.5% light transmission and an enhanced three-dimensional effect of the object in view is achieved thanks to the increased objective lens spacing of the Porro prism design.
Minox Porro prism binoculars are fully waterproofed down to a depth of 5m. They have an aluminium body with tough rubber armouring, and are Argon gas purged to prevent any internal fogging during rapid temperature changes.
The large focusing wheel incorporates the individual eye diopter compensation setting which, once set for the user's eyes, can be safely locked.
