Tesco signs up with Pixology

Pixology has signed a deal withescoo provide an online digital processing service.esco becomes the latest tier 1 photographic playern the UK to turn to Pixology for a digital photographic software solution.sda (the UK arm of Wal-Mart), Boots, Tesco and Jessops are all Pixology customers.

Pixology has announced that it will be providing Tesco with a fully branded online photographic printing service. The service, made possible by Pixology's ONLINEPHOTOCENTER(tm) (OPC) technology, was launched on Friday 11th November 2005.

Hosted by Pixology, the fully featured OPC will be customised in line with Tesco's in-store branding and its digital self serve photo kiosks, which are also powered by Pixology's software.

Yuval Yashiv, CEO of Pixology plc, said: "This is a great opportunity for Pixology to extend its relationship with Tesco beyond in-store kiosk sales to satisfy the growing demand from customers for online printing. The Tesco service will offer convenience, choice and competitive prices and we expect it to be very popular. Enabling the consumer to order his or her digital prints alongside with the weekly shopping is a revolutionary concept and yet again illustrates the range of customer choice and level of convenience made possible by digital photography."

Andrew Clarke, Commercial Operations Manager for photo processing, at Tesco said: "With the massive growth in digital camera sales and mobile camera phones we wanted to offer our customers a complete imaging service. The launch of Tescophoto.com will allow us to offer a full range of printing services to our customers at competitive prices. Our customers will now be able to get real photographs from their digital images from the comfort of their own home. The Online Photo service allows us to build a fully integrated Imaging service for the future."
