Ferrania Technologies is offering an updated film and RIP software solution that brings simplicity and cost-savings to the in-house film separation process.
The OptiJet Plotter-to-Film Solution is ideal for many prepress operations including offset, screen printing, flexo, and sign makers who are looking to economically migrate to a digital environment without incurring the substantial capital investment required by many of todays alternative systems.
"This complete solution allows for the highest dot quality, which is absolutely critical for consistent print production," said Don Cacciola, General Manager for Ferrania. "The intelligence and precision of this film separation solution allows in-house operations to achieve a perfect balance of fast turnaround times, low costs and superb print quality. This system will deliver up to 180 lines per inch (lpi), allowing for high resolution performance comparable to significantly higher cost computer-to-press solutions."
The OptiJet RIP software offers intuitive operation and the flexibility to adapt to any workflow. It provides operators with complete control over dithering, shapes, angle, frequency, stochastic dither and dot-size control. The design of the software also allows for simultaneous image processing, printing and spooling, which allows in-house operations to be much more responsive and measurably more productive.
The system can also be used to produce non-certified proofs by utilizing a combination of the OptiJetRIP along with our 190g and 240g OptiJet Universal Semi-Mat Inkjet Proofing Papers. This additional benefit of the system provides one more advantage to smaller printing operations by offering them a cost-effective solution for creating proofs to be used as part of their internal pre-press analysis.
