Fujifilm's FinePix Z5fd has snapped-up the ultimate accolade at the camera 'Oscars' by being named Best Ultra Compact Digital Camera in the TIPA Awards 2007.
Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) voted the FinePix Z5fd the 'Best Ultra Compact Digital Camera' at the TIPA Awards 2007 calling it a 'technological marvel'. This follows
in the footsteps of the FinePix F30 - championed for its low light capabilities - which won the TIPA Best Compact Digital Camera 2006.
The hotly contested TIPA awards are widely regarded as the European 'Oscars' of the photo and imaging industry.
The FinePix Z5fd is the first of Fujifilm's 'Z' range series to feature Fujifilm's hardware-based Face Detection technology - which can detect faces and optimise exposure settings in an industry leading 0.05 seconds.
