Colour Confidence, the colour management specialist, has announced the expansion of its ColorStore programme, with Wilkinson Cameras the latest retailer to commit to the scheme.

The 2006 Pixel Trade Awards Independent Retailer of the Year, Wilkinson Cameras have selected their flagship Preston showroom as the location for their first ColorStore.

The ColorStore programme gives consumers the option to buy colour management solutions in-store as well as online. ColorStore retailers offer a wide range of Colour Confidence products, with major lines held in stock for instant purchase, along with expert, independent advice from fully trained staff. The ColorStore concept allows consumers to see colour management solutions being demonstrated, to compare and contrast various options, and the convenience of purchasing and receiving after-sales support from their local retailer. With plans for 50 ColorStores across Europe by the end of 2007, the choice of where and how to buy colour management products has never been greater.

Established in 1986, Wilkinson Cameras now operate from seven locations across the North West of England, in addition to their online store. Their decision to join the ColorStore network reflects the growing importance of colour management sales to the digital photography market.

"At Wilkinson Cameras we are experiencing an ever-increasing demand for colour management products, from both amateur and professional photographers", explains Paul Edmondson, General Manager, Wilkinson Cameras. "The ColorStore programme is the perfect way for us to deliver what these consumers are looking for. Dedicated members of staff have been fully trained by Colour Confidence, meaning we can offer our usual high standard of service with the backing of the recognised experts in the field".

Since January this year six ColorStores have officially opened across the UK and France, with negotiations for several further locations in both Britain and continental Europe already well underway. The rapid expansion of this network is set to play an important role in the continuing demystification of colour management, as well as improving both the availability and choice of solutions.
