Late in the evening of October 18, the last spark of hope to save the insolvent AgfaPhoto GmbH the successor to the former Consumer Imaging Business Group of the Agfa-Gevaert Group as an intact company was extinguished. The committee of creditors turned down the final take-over offer from the British Photo-Me International Group (PMI), to which the minilab manufacturer Kis also belongs. AgfaPhoto is now being wound up, and certain parts of it have already been sold to investors.
