Consumer reviews added to DIMA 2006 Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out

The third annual Digital Imaging Marketing Association(DIMA Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out will include the input and participation of Generation X mums. The event takes place during the DIMA 2006 Annual Conference, Feb. 24-Feb. 25, at the Orange County Convention Center, West Building, Orlando, Fla.

The Photo Kiosk Shoot-Out recognises the "best of the best" in self-service imaging kiosks. For the first time, consumers will evaluate the photo kiosks, judging each based on its ease of use and user interface. The evaluations will be combined with those of a panel of experts who will evaluate each machine based on its configuration options and flexibility. Winners will be announced Sunday, February 26, at 8:00 a.m. in the PMA 2006 Press Room.

"We plan to invite typical consumers - our target market being people termed 'Gen X mums' - to use the kiosks and give us their impressions," stated Chad Munce, Group Executive, Digital Imaging Markets, and organiser of the event. "Adding input from consumers should be very valuable for the manufacturers participating and the retailers evaluating these photo kiosk systems."

In addition to the Shoot-Out competition, photo kiosks from around the world will be displayed side-by-side for attendees to use and make prints throughout the four days of the PMA 2006 International Convention and Trade Show. The display will be located on the second level concourse in the Orange County Convention Center, West Building (near the entrance of the PMA 2006 Trade Show).

All manufacturers of digital photo kiosks exhibiting at PMA 2006 are eligible to participate in the Shoot-Out. For more information contact Chad Munce at (800) 762-9287, or by e-mail at cmunce@pmai.org. Companies must register by Friday, January 6, 2006 to guarantee a spot.
