Spaark announces the launch of its latest range: Picolo printable albums -affordable, contemporary styled, handy sized, inkjet printable photo albums. Album packs come with covers in 4 vibrant colours, software that makes it easy to lay out images and inkjet printable pages that are simply inserted into the binder.
Ideal for gifts or personal use, the Picolo is aimed at families who want to personalise their photos and share them with their friends and family wherever they are.
Recent research has highlighted that over 50% of digital camera users are still printing their photos at home and 62% of us want to see actual images and not look at them on the screen. With over 40% of homes now equipped with PC's, photo quality printers and digital cameras and mothers making over 50% of the digital camera purchase decisions, the market is clearly ready for the Picolo.
"The Picolo has been developed as a response to the need for a simple and convenient way to personalise, layout print and share digital photos. " Users are crying out for alternative ways to use the 'digitality ' of their images and present them in ways that reflect their personality and suit their lifestyle. Why not use the infinite flexibility of the image size and print more than one image on each page with captions? It's time to break away from the one image 6 x 4 paradigm and open the consumers eyes to a whole new world of creativity, especially with the enormous growth of camera phones" said Paul May CEO, Spaark. "
Spaark were the originators of the printable photo album and this launch reflects their commitment to this emerging category and their deep understanding of consumer habits gained from the original Photoprintables range launched in 2003.
The Picolo is targeted at the digital camera users who are capturing and sharing memories of their family, or special occasions such as holidays, birthdays and weddings. Once the images are downloaded to the PC, the easy to use software walks the user through selecting and laying out the photos, picking backgrounds and picture frames and even adding captions to tell their own story around the images. Simply print directly on to the Spaark album pages using any popular inkjet photo printer and then clip the pages into the unique album binder.
The photo albums are a handy 6" x 4" (10 x 15cm) and come blister packed in 4 vibrant colours: soothing sea blue, slice of lime, pink lemonade and sunkissed orange with an RSP of £9.95 and refill packs at £3.95. All albums include software, 15 high quality inkjet printable pages and a binding system, which makes for simple insertion of the pages into the unique wraparound cover.
